1.  PM Modi on Wednesday urged states which have not reduced VAT on petrol and diesel to cut the taxes, saying it is an injustice against the people. In order to reduce the burden of rising petrol and diesel prices, the central government had reduced the excise duty in November last year, he reminded.

2. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will be inaugurating the National Good Governance Webinar Series.  The first webinar in the series is on the theme ‘Improving Service Delivery’.

3. Agriculture Ministry organizes week long special campaign on ‘Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari'.

11.  *TAMIL NADU,* eleven people lost their lives due to electrocution when a temple chariot at Kalimedu village near Thanjavur came in contact with heavy tension wire. 16 others sustained injuries and are admitted in the Thanjavur Government Medical College Hospital.  

12. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin met those who were injured in the Thanjavur electrocution incident and announced ex-gratia of ₹1 lakh to those severely injured and ₹50,000 to the injured.

1. The govt will take a considerate decision on cryptocurrency regulation but it can't be rushed through, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.

2. The Labour Ministry issued a notice to Infosys to hold a joint discussion on April 28 regarding the enforcement of the non-compete agreement. The agreement bans ex-employees from working for same customers in rival firms for six months. This comes after Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), an IT union, filed a complaint with the Ministry seeking the clause's removal.

3. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) on Wednesday reported an 8.6% rise in its profit after tax from ₹2,143 crore in Q4 FY21 to ₹2,327 crore in Q4 FY22. Its profit in FY22 rose 10.9% YoY to ₹8,818 crore.

Adivi Sesh-starrer 'Major' has been postponed again and now will release on June 3. Previously, the film was slated to release on May 27. However, the actor announced on Twitter that the release has been pushed by a week. The film's release date had earlier been postponed due to the pandemic. The film will now clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Prithviraj'.

1. Australian Chief of Defence Force General Angus Campbell called on Indian Army chief General MM Naravane on Wednesday and discussed ways to strengthen the defence cooperation between the two countries.

2. India-Australia defence cooperation continued to expand during the year 2021-22. Australia participated in Exercise Malabar along with India, US and Japan. India was invited for the first time to observe the bi-annual Australia-USA bilateral Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021.

The fourth edition of bilateral maritime Exercise AUSINDEX between the Indian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) was held on 6-10 September 2021 off Australia’s Northern Territory coast.

3. US manufacturer Boeing announced it would be deploying two F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet fighters to an Indian Navy test facility in Goa for flight trials.  The Rafale Marine is the carrier-borne variant of the Rafale fighter, which is already in service with the Indian Air Force.

4. Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command, Admiral John Aquilino, called on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday. This comes in the wake of the India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue on April 11 where the US had supported India as a defence industry leader in the Indo-Pacific.

3. The EU on Wednesday launched its rule of law mechanism against the Hungarian government that could strip Hungary of its EU funding. 

The mechanism allows the EU to withhold funds from member states if they are found to have committed violations against the EU's democratic standards.

7. United Nations' World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili on Wednesday said that Russia is withdrawing from the UN's tourism body.

In order to return the plunger into its original "closed" position the solenoid is once again "pulsed" but this time by reversing polarity.

It is traditionally believed to have been authored by 16th-century poet Tulsidas in the Awadhi language from the Ramcharitmanas.* The word "chālīsā" is derived from "chālīs", which means the number forty in Hindi, as the Hanuman Chalisa has 40 verses.

The Hanuman Chalisa prayer mentions about the distance between the Sun and Earth in 15th century, before modern science could find the distance in 19th century: It states: *“जुग सहस्र जोजन पर भानू।*

It does mean that Hanuman has travelled a far distance such as Yug x Sahasra x Yojana to meet Bhanu (Sun)

According to ancient calculations, 

1 Yug = 12,000 years

1 Sahasra = 1,000

1 Yojana = 8 Miles

Yug x Sahasra x Yojana = 12,000 x 1,000 x 8 miles = 96,000,000 miles

Where 1 mile = 1.6 Kilometers

96,000,000 miles x 1.6 kilometers = 1,536,000,000 Kilometers to Sun.

The average distance from the earth to the sun is 92,955,807 miles (149,597,870.691 km) according to modern science.

Lord Hanuman was born on the Anjaneri mountain. His mother Anjana was an apsara who was born on earth due to a curse. The Valmiki Ramayana states that his father Kesari was the son of Brihaspati, he was the King of a place named Sumeru. Anjana performed intense prayers to Shiva to get a child. By Shiva's direction, Vayu transferred his male energy to Anjana's womb. Accordingly, Hanuman is identified as the son of the Vayu.
