ದಿನಾಂಕ: 21-10-1959 ರಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮೀಸಲು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಪಡೆಯ ಎಸ್.ಐ ಶ್ರೀ ಕರಂಸಿಂಗ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ 20 ಜನರ ತಂಡ ಭಾರತ ಮತ್ತು ಜೈನಾ ದೇಶದ ಗಡಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಲಡಾಕ್‍ನ ಹಾಟ್‍ಸ್ಟ್ರಿಂಗ್ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುವಾಗ ನೆರೆಯ ಚೈನಾ ದೇಶದ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಹಠಾತ್ತನೆ ಆಕ್ರಮಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕರಂಸಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ 09 ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ದೇಹಗಳನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ: 28-11-1959 ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಕಲ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಗೌರವಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ದಾರುಣ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದವರ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 21ನೇ ತಾರೀಖಿನಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಮರಣ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ದಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವಾಗ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರತ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವ ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.
ಈ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಂತೆ ದಿನಾಂಕ: 21-10-2024 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8-00 ಘಂಟೆಗೆ ಸಿ.ಎ.ಆರ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರಸ್ಥಾನ, ಮೈಸೂರು ರಸ್ತೆ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ 'ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಮರಣ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ” ಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ದಿನಾಂಕ: 01-09-2023 ರಿಂದ 31-08-2024 ರ ನಡುವಿನ ಅವದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತಾದ್ಯಂತ ಒಟ್ಟು 216 ವಿವಿಧ ದರ್ಜೆಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 12 ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Police Commemoration Day
Bangalore, October 20 (Karnataka Information):
On 21-10-1959, a team of 20 men led by Sub-Inspector Shri Karam Singh of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were engaged in rescue operation work at a place called Hotspring in Ladakh on the border between India and China. The soldiers of neighboring country China suddenly attacked these CRPF men on duty at Hotsprings and killed Shri Karam Singh and 09 other CRPF personnel. The bodies of the martyrs were handed over to India on 28-11-1959 and their cremation was done with police honors.
In memory of those who sacrificed their lives in this tragic incident, every year on 21st October is being celebrated as Police Commemoration Day across the Country. On this day, the officers and personnel who sacrificed their lives while maintaining law and order, protecting the nation and performing duty during other emergency situations are remembered with respect.
As per this tradition, on 21-10-2024 at 8-00 am "Police Commemoration Day" will be celebrated at City Armed Reserve Head Quarters, Mysore Road, Bangalore. Martyrs who sacrificed their lives on duty are honored on this occasion. Between 01-09-2023 and 31-08-2024, a total of 216 police officers and personnel of various ranks have died in the line of duty across India, while a total of 12 police officers and personnel have died in the line of duty in the state of Karnataka.
Honorable Chief Minister Shri. Siddaramaiah will be the Chief Guest for this program, Hon'ble Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara will also preside. Hon'ble Chief Minister, Hon'ble Home Minister, State Head of Police Force, Retired Senior Police Officers of various ranks, Heads of Central Police Units in Bangalore city will pay tribute to the martyred police officers and personnel who sacrificed their life on duty during the last one year.
